Kitchen Assistant / Test Kitchen Support

Programed is seeking a reliable and hands-on Kitchen Assistant to support our client, a global leader in flavor solutions, manufacturing herbs, spices, condiments and seasonings. Based at Moorabbin Airport, this role will support the Culinary Team and help keep the Test Kitchen clean, organized and operating efficiently while assisting with food preparation and general kitchen duties.

What you'll do:

• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces and work areas
• Assist with basic food preparation (washing, peeling and chopping vegetables)
• Support food sample preparation, plating and serving
• Receive, organize and store stock correctly in fridges, freezers and cool rooms
• Assist with moving and storing equipment
• Help with general kitchen duties as required

What we're looking for:

• Food Safety Handling Certificate (required)
• Basic knife skills and food preparation experience (preferred)
• Good attention to cleanliness and food safety
• Physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods
• Positive, reliable and team focused attitude
• Driver's license and own vehicle desirable

Working Hours

• Tuesday to Thursday
• 11:00am – 3:00pm
• Some flexibility may be required
